Highlights of the 2016 season – Vani Kapoor

Dec 24, 2016: Vani Kapoor has been in the forefront of a silent women’s revolution in Indian golf. Aditi Ashok may have leap frogged her into the Ladies European Tour, but Vani remains the leading Indian golfer on the strength of her performances in the Hero Women’s Profesional Golf Tour.

In this feature we look at some of her big moments from the current season –

• Vani Kapoor won the India Golf Award for Best Pro Player (Female) 2015 along with Aditi Ashok

• Vani Kapoor made a hat-trick by leading the Hero Order of Merit for a third straight season.

• She also finished in 2^nd place in 2012 and 2013 before taking the top spot three years in a row.

• Vani claimed 5 out of 18 titles for last year, and she had increased her count to 7 out of 13 titles that she played in 2016.

• Vani also became the first woman to win seven titles in a single season on the WGAI Hero Women Professional Golf Tour.

• Vani has also been leading the WGAI HWPGT with the highest number of under par rounds for a third straight season.
