The nation’s premier acknowledgement for golf professionals is set to sizzle for a third successive season. The Take Solutions India Golf Awards 2016 are set to be one of the highlights of the week during the Hero Indian Open scheduled during the third week of March. The glittering night will be hosted at the JW Marriott in New Delhi on March 18.
The marquee awards, the biggest recognition for the pursuit of golf in India will be hosted by the Golfing Indian team. The awards will recognise excellence in the game during the 2015 season.
The awardees will be chosen by an eminent panel of independent experts with a deep understanding of the game and its performers to recognise their efforts through the previous season. Take Solutions remains the title sponsor for the awards for a third year running.
The India Golf Awards are an inclusive effort to identify and decorate some of the most consistent performers in golf in categories that cover amateurs, young golfers, professionals and coaches. Each category also recognises male and female golfers, making the awards one of the most exhaustive mechanisms for recognition, not just in India but all of Asia.
Anirban Lahiri and Vani Kapoor stole the limelight during the second edition in February 2015. The two top golfers will also be among the front runners at this edition of an event that is quickly shaping out as the biggest off course event in Indian golf.
