December 26, 2013: Last year’s runners up, St Gregorious High School redeemed themselves by winning the Evolution Golf Western India Inter school Championship 2013 as well as having their 2nd team finish 2nd runners Up.
Virajeet Sandhu and Archit Kohli from St Gregorios High School won the title by two shots over Cathedral and John Connon School represented by Ahaan and Aryaan Nath. Finishing a close third was also the team from St Gregorious who was in second place after Day one represented by (Ria D’costa and Ronav Patel).
Individual competition results:
Aarush Ahuja from R A Podar College of commerce and economics won the overall competition over Ahaan Nath of Cathedral and John Connon High School with Jai Vora from Campion School in third place. The overall girls competion was won by Ananya Datar from St Anthony’s Girls High School with Parina Patel from Delhi Public School Ahmedabad finishing in 2nd place.
In the the category B compition Jai Vora from Campion School had the better of Ahaan Nath from Cathedral and John Connon School with Mayur Mistry from Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School surrendering an overnight lead to finish 3rd.
Category C Boys saw Tanmay Negi and Avnay Khanna of Bishops Co ed school Pune finish 1st and 2nd respectively with Aryaan Nath from Cathedral and John Connon School finishing on 2nd runners up. In the Category C girls Kaurvika Kumar from Hiranandani Foundation school beat Gauri Karade from K.P.C. English High by wide margin of 10 shots .
Category D Boys was won by promising Ronav Patel from St Gregorious High school. Aaditya Natekar from Vidya Valley School Pune finished in 2nd place and Vibhor Singh from St. Gregorious High School finished in 3rd place. Ria D’costa from St Gregorious High School won the category D division girls having the better of arch rival Hridika Vora from Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
Category E winners were Ishaan Kulkarni (Indus International Pune); followed by Aryaman High from VIBGYOR High NIBM Pune and Ahika Jani from Utpal Shangvi School Mumbai finished in 3rd spot.
The participants had a wonderful experience and the well manicured BPGC course and look forward to coming back to the event next year.
