June 20, 2014. India’s golf legend Jeev Milkha Singh who was holding momentum with good golf at the Irish Open in Cork suddenly slipped thanks to a double bogey on the seventh with just a few holes to go. At one point, his solid and stable game had time T7.

Jeev has been looking to consolidate his game given his overall weak performance this season. His finger injury which tends to return now and then also hasn’t helped his form.

In round one Jeev played some solid golf, sank four birdies on the back nine to come back with a solid three-under 68 in the first round of the Irish Open at Fota Ireland Resort on Thursday.

Jeev, who has had a rough ride this season, finishing beyond the 60th place in four of the five cuts he has made this year during which he has also missed six cuts, is looking to reverse that trend as he was placed somewhere in the leaderboard’s middle at the end of the second day.
