June 27, 2015: Chiragh Kumar, Khalin Joshi and Himmat Rai continued to remain resilient amidst difficult conditions at the Bali National Golf Club. The three young men were locked in a group of seven men tied for 8th after three rounds of the Bali National Golf Championships on the Asian Development Tour. Kumar made a fine 69 in the third round, while Rai posted a score of 70 to edge inside the top ten. Joshi must be a tad disappointed with his return 74, slipping five shots behind the leader. Matthew Giles is holding the aces as the men look to sign off on Sunday with a final flourish. The Aussie shot a 70 to snatch the lead from another Aussie – Jake Stirling, who is one shot back.

Kumar started on the wrong foot – making two bogeys in the first three holes. But he corrected course immediately, striking birdies at the 4th and 5th holes to get even with the course. Another birdie at the ninth helped him navigate the turn in 34 shots.

A pair of consecutive birdies at 11 and 12 helped Kumar go three under and six straight pars helped him consolidate his position inside the top ten of the tournament, with 18 holes still to play.

Rai was solid through the third day, despite a challenging set up made trickier by the variables from the weather. But for a double bogey at the par-4 8th hole, Rai could have signed off with a 68, but two of his four birdies were needed to erase that blot, leaving him a 70 on the card.

Khalin had a desperately difficult day on the course, as witnessed by the three double bogeys that stared at him. He made those at the 7th, 11th and 14th and despite birdies at the 3rd, 13th, 15th and 16th holes he only had a 74 to show for his trip around the course.

Shubhankar Sharma, the other Indian in the pack this week, missed the cut after making 73 and 77 in the first two rounds.
