October 8, 2013. Western India’s order of merit leader Rohan Dhole-Patil edged out Sahil Motiani to emerge overall boys champion at a rain soaked Evolution Golf West Zone IGU Sub Junior and Feeder Tour 2013.

 

Pune boy, Rohan challenged over night leader Sahil and played a fabulous second round of 76 to emerge victorious. Mumbai boy, Akashi Bamne was third after narrowly edging out Kairav Shah.

 

In the B category, taking honours was Ahaan Nath, the leading junior from BPGC, Mumbai. Following him in second place was Jay Pandya from Rajkot with Tanay Srivastav from Pune in 3rd place.

 

Category C saw a climatic finish with Mumbai lad Krishiv Tekchandani edging out Kaustabh Misra on the second play off hole. Both boys performed very well and halved the first extra hole with regulation pars. Pune’s Tanmay Negi finished third.

 

Young Karan Gautam from Mhow emerged victorious by a huge margin shooting rounds of 83 & 84, showing maturity well beyond his years, a tremendous performance indeed by a ten year old. With this win, Karan takes the lead in this categories order of merit overtaking Mumbai youngster Aryaan Nath who finished 3rd. Aryaan’s stable mate from Mumbai, Jaash Parikh was the runners up.

 

Amongst the girls, Parina Patel from Ahmedabad exacted revenge over Pune’s talented Inika Shetty, beating her in to second place in the overall category. Local girl Priyanka Patel came in third.

 

The sub junior girls saw the very hard working Kaurvika Kumar from Mumbai beat Arya Gadekar from Pune to take the top spot in category C, and in the lower age bracket category D the dominant Nayanika Sangha from Pune recorded a victory with a thumping margin over little Kriti Chauhan.

 

The category E honours, went to Pune boy Shat Misra.

 

The next event of the Evolution Golf West Zone IGU Sub Junior and Feeder Tour 2013 moves to Kalhaar Blues and Greens starting day after tomorrow.
