Victory for Neha Tripathi in Delhi

Tripathi scored four back to back birdies from 12th hole to the 15th.

Kolkata golfer Neha Tripathi made a decided comeback to win the 11th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro tour at the Delhi Golf Club. A round of 68 notched up her score to a total of 218, one stroke ahead of Vani Kapoor who came second. Tripathi led the tournament on the very first round as well and even though she was set back with a 78 in the second round, the come back to top the leader board was strong.

 

The back nine proved to be a clincher as Tripathi scored four back to back birdies from 12th hole to the 15th. With this Tripathi top the Hero Order of Merit.

 

The other in-form player Vani Kapoor did well though couldn’t cling on to her lead from day 2. She produced three rounds of 73 each to a total of 219. Bogies on 13, 15th and 16th cost Vani the lead she had secured earlier in the day.

 

 

Neha Tripathi is one of the Top Professional Player in India. She is talented and her focus towards golf is immense. The 21 year old Neha turned pro in September 2009. She was the winner of KGA Leg held in Bangalore in Previous season HWPGT 2011-12. She participated in Women’s Indian Open 2011 and ended up at Tied 49th Place. She secured 2nd Position in BT PRO-AM Championship 2012.
