May 29, 2014. Shubhankar Sharma posted a three-under-68 in the opening round of the Asian Development Tour’s ICTSI Riviera Classic to be placed tied eighth. Shubhankar, the lone Indian in the field is currently two shots behind the joint leaders Nils Floren of Sweden and Grant Jackson of England.
Sharma, who is in 28th position on the 2014 Asian Development Tour Order of Merit, came up with three birdies and two bogeys in his first round on Wednesday.
Just last week, Shubhankar Sharma (74-74) had fired a second straight two-over-74 to miss the cut by two shots at the Asian Development Tour’s PGM Johor Championship in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The 17-year-old Shubhankar, who finished tied sixth on the Asian Development Tour two weeks back, totaled four-over-148 at the halfway stage to be placed tied 72nd.
