March 4, 2014: India’s shining golfer Rashid Khan’s recent win at SAIL-SBI has swung him 300 places up on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) this week.
Khan’s sucess at he SAIL-SBI Open presented by Incredible India last week was worth 14 points, which saw him soar to 302 rank from his previous position of 612th on the world rankings.
Currently Indian golfers listed in top 200 on OWGR include Anirban Lahiri (101), Shiv Kapur (141), Gaganjeet Bhullar (147).
A total of 14 Asian Tour members including the Tour’s honorary members are inside the top-200 on the OWGR.
Khan has already scaled to the top of the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit for 2014 season. The recent Asian Tour rankings place India’s SSP Chowrasia at 4th position and Anirban Lahiri and Jyoti Randhawa joint 8th.
