May 07, 2014: Despite three bogeys, Ridhima Dilawari sinking two birdies on the back nine led her to lead at the end of round two with a card of one over 73 replacing round 1 leader Gurbani Singh at USHA Northern India Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship. Ridhima Dilawari is currently placed at 4th position in the Order of Merit list of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) Ladies Tour. Astha Madan retained her round 1 second position to trail behind Ridhima by two strokes, with a score of three over 75. Her inadequate performance on the day with a total of four birdies, four bogeys and one triple bogey riveted her fate to score a total of 147, the same as Ridhima’s, at the end of round 2.

At the end of Day 1, Ridhima Dilawari and Vidushi Sinha shared a joint third position after returning a card of 2 over 74, trailing behind Gurbani and Aditi. Gurbani Singh had a bad play today falling to the third position with just 2 birdies, 4 bogies and 1 double bogey to end at four over 76. Ridhima, Aditi and Gubani finishing with the same total score of 147 at the end of round two, the finals tomorrow surely promises to be cut-throat competitive.

Winner of last year’s Usha Northern Indian Ladies and Amateur Golf Championship, Gaurika Bishnoi had the only sub-par round of the day carding a three under 69 to lie at fourth position with a total round 1 and round 2 combined score of 150. She registered the best play for Day 2 by stitching a string of 6 birdies and just 3 bogeys.

Other notable names in the top 10 included Sifat Alag, Sehar Atwal and Tvesa Malik (152), Dolma Rawat (153), lying at joint fifth and sixth position respectively.
