McIlroy had called off his wedding after having sent the invites out as the golfer was not quite ready for it. But one wonders if this report of his new date suggests he is doing just fine as a single man. According to NESN.com, McIlroy made a quick stop to Dublin, where he enjoyed the weekend with Forde just as he gears up for the Scottish Open later this week. According to sources quoted, the two were seen “getting close” all night at a nightclub Saturday, and the pair left together just before 3 a.m. The report further added that Forde was seen in McIlroy’s hometown of Bangor the next day, as she was spending time with fellow model Katie Larmour, who is engaged to one of McIlroy’s closest friends, Harry Diamond.
McIlroy is playing the Scottish Open this week at Royal Aberdeen. Last week, he made a visit to Royal Liverpool, site of next weeks’s British Open.
