September 05, 2015: Jyoti Randhawa produced a timely 68 to rise 21 spots on the leader board and re-enter the top 30 after the third round of the Russian Open in Moscow. Rahil Gangjee though failed to find inspiration, posting an insipid 74 to drop outside the top 50. David Horsey and Craig Lee shot an impressive 66 each to take the clubhouse lead. But Lee Slattery surged ahead by two shots, aided by six birdies including one at the 18th.

Randhawa shot an eagle for the second straight day – this time at the par-3 13th hole to fuel a strong effort on Saturday. The 413th ranked golfer ran through the first nine holes in just 32 shots, with the aid of three birdies.

The second nine was not as simple, but the two bogeys that came at the 10th and 16th holes were addressed by his effort at the 13th. He is currently lying at T27 with a score of 4-under 209.

Gangjee needed a good effort to recover from the slip he suffered through a 73 on Friday. But three bogeys in the first nine holes left him working off the backfoot through the round.

The golfer from Kolkata shot bogeys at the 2nd, 4th and 8th holes. His lone birdie on the front nine, at the par-4 sixth was barely adequate to offset the damage.

The second nine did not get too better – bogeys at the 14th and 16th dropping him to four over for the day. A birdie at the 18th helped him recover a little bit of lost ground. But at 2-over 215, Gangjee is lying in T57 with only Sunday to play and salvage some pride.

Lee had a blemish free day, making five birdies – two on the front and three on the back nine for a fine 66 to join Horsey and Estanislao Goya who shot 67 to end the third round at 11-under 202.
