Sept 25, 2013. Sharmila Nicollet who has just returned from her LET Schedule back on the Indian tour produced a brilliant 72 today to close just three strokes behind the leader. This is considerable jump from the 6th position to the 2nd. She managed birdies on the third and seventh holes.
Vani Kapoor staged a stellar round of 73 today to jump ahead on the leader board at the 11th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Tour at the Delhi Golf Club with a two round score of 146.
Leader from the first round Neha Tripathi was tied third with Ankita Tiwana with a 150. Amateur Millie Saroha did well with four birdies on 11, 13, 14 and 15th but as many bogies on the front nine kept the overall score high.
Simi Mehra withdrew from the tournament due to medical condition. She had been unwell even on the tour during the 10th leg in Srinagar. She had fainted on the course during the second round even though on the final day she enthralled audiences by grabbing the trophy in a three way playoff.
The INR 5,00,000 event is being played at the historic Delhi Golf Club from the 24th – 26th of September 2013. The Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013 comprises a total of fourteen legs spanning across key locations in India.
