Greater Noida, October 29: Bengaluru Golfer Sharmila Nicollet today fired a five under 67 to lead after the first days play at the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013. The INR 5,00,000 even is being played at the Jaypee Greens Golf Course in Greater Noida. Trailing Sharmila by a stroke was Delhi’s Vani Kapoor.

 

Sharmila today had a brilliant round scoring the lowest total of the day. With an impressive first day’s score of five under 67 Sharmila looks to be in great form post her return nursing an ankle injury. Sharmila’s round today consisted of six birdies on the 2nd, 5th, 8, 9th, 10th and 11th holes followed by a single bogey on the 17th hole.

 

Delhi Golfer Vani Kapoor was placed second after 18 holes with a day’s total of four under 68. Her round today consisted of five birdies on the 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th and 11th holes followed by a bogey on the 16th hole. Amateur golfer Millie Saroha was placed third after the days play with a total score of two under 70.

 

Chandigarh’s Saniya Sharma was placed fourth with even par score of 72 and Rani Sonti was placed fifth with a score of three over 75 after 18 holes.

 

The Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013 comprises a total of fourteen legs spanning across key locations in India.
