August 24, 2013. Indian golfer Shiv Kapur finished with a final round of 71 at the Rolex Trophy on the European Challenge Tour in Geneva when the game was put on hold due to threat of lightening. He was among the few who had completed the tournament even as the event moves into Sunday for a finish.

31-year-old Kapur, who won the season’s first effort in Kensville Challenge in Ahmedabad earlier this year had a modest start at the game but rose through the leaderboard on the third day with a stellar 66. Shiv’s five under par 283 during R4 included an eagle on the eighth hole. Having teed off from the first, he saw birdies on third and fifth though a set back by three bogies on 6th, 7th, 9th was clearly measured up a little with the eagle on the eighth. Through the tournament, Shiv’s played the back nine better than the front. He scored birdies on 13th and 15th.

The Delhi golfer has shown some impressive form this year. He hogged the limelight when he came on the top of leader board at the Open. Kapur ended tied 18 at last months Finnish Open.

Sweden’s Jens Dantorp was on the top of the Leader board closely followed by Portugal’s Jose-Filipe Lima until the game was put on hold.
