Both Indian golfers - Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur - missed the cut at the KLM Open, despite lying 1-under through 36 holes

September 11, 2015: It is turning out to be a difficult week for Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur. The two Indians seem set to miss the cut the KLM Open in Zandvoort. With the top score already at 12-under, the two Indians were lying below the cut line which looks like 2-under at the time of this report. Singh (67-72) and Kapur (71-68) are both at 1-under after 36 holes. Soren Kjeldsen shot a second straight 64 to gain a one shot lead over Wade Ormsby and David Horsey. (Latest Golf News)

Singh began his round at the tenth hole. Even though he made birdie at the 11th, it was quickly neutralised by a lost shot at the par-4 13th hole. After making five straight pars to make the turn in 34 shots, Singh suffered a double bogey at the par-4 first hole.

A birdie at the sixth hole helped alleviate some of that damage, but he signed off with another bogey at the 9th, his last hole for the second round to close out with a 72.

Kapur was one over at the start of the second round, having made a 71 on Thursday. There was plenty of action straight off the tee – as Kapur went birdie to bogey like he was riding a roller coaster in some Disney park.

A bogey at the second hole was sandwiched between birdies at the first and third holes. Matters got worse when he shot six at the par-4 fourth hole. But after that topsy turvy start, Shiv added three birdies (5th, 10th & 13th) to force a 68. Unfortunately though, that was only enough to keep him just under par, not good for the weekend.

Kjeldsen was spotless, shooting two birdies on the back nine, which is where he began his second round. On his return stretch, the Dane was even more impressive, firing four birdies to gain the lead.
