Today was my first day in Abu Dhabi. I had started getting excited seeing the view from the plane itself! My flight landed around 12, and we immediately left for the Ferrari World. I had always heard of the legendary car company (who hasn’t!), but never experienced what it was like being in one of those race cars.
There were lots of rides to do, and very little time. So, I decided to make the most of it. I desperately wanted to do the “fastest roller coaster in the world”, but just like me, there were hundreds of other people waiting their turn, so I had to unfortunately miss it. All of the rides are basically either in cars, or in seats that look like car seats. For example, I did this one ride called “A test-driver’s dream – driving with the champion”.
It started off with a very nice video about a speed-crazy car mechanic who gets an opportunity to work with Ferrari. He thinks he has really bright ideas about what Ferrari needs, but he is sadly mistaken. To make him realize how seriously he would have to take his job, his would-be boss, asks him to take a ride along with a formula 1 racer! This is where the video ends, and the fun part begins!We entered a separate room, with chairs shaped like car seats. And, one the video resumed, we got to experience everything that this mechanic experienced as he sat in the passenger seat of a race car. The seats moved left, right, and center to mimic the motion of a race car on a race track, and water sprayed on us for special effects. I would highly recommend people trying this ride out! It is not scary at all, yet it gives you a rush!! I totally got the feeling of being in an actual race car!
I had an amazing first day, and I can;t wait to play the beautiful golf courses that have been chosen for us! I’m excited to continue exploring this amazing emirate! I’m loving every bit of this wonderful journey, and I cant be happier to have my father travel with me and share this experience.
