November 26, 2015: Shweta Galande swept past Vani Kapoor to take a one shot lead heading into the last day of golf this season, at the end of an eventful second round at the Rambagh Golf Club. The girl from Pune will try and pursue a second career victory on Friday when the players play the final round of golf for 2015. Overnight leader Vani Kapoor misfired today, shooting a 76 to slip into second place.

Neha Tripathi was the best golfer in the second round firing a day best 69 with three birdies. Neha is lying in tied fifth with Kiran Matharu and Ankita Tiwana.

Shweta shot two birdies and three bogeys on the outward nine, taking 36 shots to make the turn. Having made bogeys at the ninth and tenth holes, she was in a spot of bother, but recovered well to make six pars and two birdies in the last eight holes to go into the lead.

Vani suffered early damage, bleeding four bogeys in the first seven holes. She pulled one back at the eighth hole, but a double bogey at the par-4 12th hole dampened any chances of a significant recovery.

Gursimar Badwal made good on a poor start with an under par effort on Thursday, the only other woman apart from Neha to break par in the second round. She made four birdies in her score of 70 to end the day at 5-over 147, two adrift from Shweta.

Amandeep Drall was keeping Gursimar company in third place, after posting 72 in the second round. Drall’s effort included five birdies but she also had four bogeys and a double bogey at the par-5 ninth hole.

Kiran and Ankita were holding mirrors to each other. Their scores of 77-72 and 72-77 were an exact reversal of fortunes between the first two round of this 18th leg on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour.

Afshan Fatima and Smriti Mehra were tied in 8th after posting identical scores 75-76 in the first rounds in Jaipur.
