TAKE Solutions celebrates Indian golf

17 March 2018: On a quiet night in Chennai, TAKE Solutions served up a warm treat for some of India’s finest golfers. The software enterprise, a key supporter of golf in the country, underlined its commitment to TAKE Indian golf global with an understated, yet an important celebration of its long-held relationships with SSP Chawrasia, Shubhankar Sharma, Chiragh Kumar, S Chikkarangappa and Khalin Joshi.

TAKE, under the leadership of its founders H R Srinivasan, D V Ravi and Ram Yeleswarapu, has been at the forefront of golf development in India. One of just a handful of core supporters for a growing game in India, TAKE celebrated the continued journeys of their golfers with a warm-hearted and an intimate gathering of the golf community in Chennai.

Their association with golfers is built around an ethos constructed on three strong pillars – opportunity, support and celebration.

“We believe that it is important to create opportunities for young golfers to compete with their international peers to hone and develop their games,” said Srinivasan, the managing director of TAKE Solutions. “In order to do so, we have been hosting tournaments at various levels, on the domestic PGTI TOUR, on the Asian Development Tour and the Asian Tour.”

Srinivasan went on to speak about the clear distinction between support and sponsorship, seeking to carve a space for his organisation as a supporter of golf.

“We believe talent can only help you reach a certain level. Beyond that, it is the commitment to pursue one’s own passion and the ability to bounce back from failure that determines success,” said Srinivasan. “At TAKE we seek to identify and nurture golfers with the right attitude.”

Apparently, TAKE’s investments are beginning to pay rich dividends. Chawrasia and Shubhankar have multiple victories on the Asian and European Tours while Chikkarangappa, Khalin and Chiragh have performed consistently well on the PGTI and Asian Tours.

The Arjuna Award, belonging to Chawrasia decorated one side of the stage. At the other end was the silver that Shubhankar won in Malaysia at the Maybank Championship. Standing on either side of the hall at the Crowne Plaza in Chennai, they served to remind the gathering of the possibilities for Indian golf, through passion, patience and perseverance.

With our golfers set to resume their quest in Asia and America, we could be in for another wonderful summer of success for Indian golf.
