June 23, 2016: If Vani Kapoor can save her form in a bottle, she might empty the most expensive perfume bottle in the world and do just that. The 22 year old from Delhi played a spotless second round at Clover Greens to build up a massive nine shot lead over the field. Gauri Monga is lying second at four over 146 after a second successive 73. Neha Tripathi shot 71, the only other golfer besides Vani to shoot par or better.

Vani started with a pair of birdies as she strengthened her grip at the top of the leaderboard. She went on to make a dozen straight pars before adding two more birdies at the 15th and 17th holes. Vani took just 32 shots to complete the second nine.

There are five players lying third, one shot behind Gauri. That group includes Neha, Ankita Tiwana, Saaniya Sharma, Shweta Galande and Amandeep Drall.

Ankita and Saaniya shot 73 in the second round while Shweta and Amandeep made 74 and 75 respectively.

Afshan Fatima dropped six spots, making 78 to follow up on her 73 in the first round. Sharmila Nicollet, who shot 77 in the first round, withdrew from the tournament citing medical reasons.

Mehar Atwal bettered her first round effort by three shots, scoring 75 in the second round. Sonam Chugh did likewise adding a 76 to her 80 in the first round.

Gauri shot two birdies in her 73, but she also conceded four bogeys to finish the round two over par.

Neha fired an even number of birdies and bogeys – one each on the front nine and two of them on the back nine.

Ankita was one under through eleven holes but a double bogey at the par-5 12th hole and another bogey at the 300 yard 15th hole sent her into over par territory.
