March 12, 2014: The Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2014 heads towards the northern part of the country as the Classic Golf Resort gets set to play host to the fifth leg of the season from today. The season so far has been one of uncertainty and great comebacks, and this leg is also expected to be a tightly fought one. Delhi Golfer Vani Kapoor will be the front-runner, as she has already completed two victories this season and has shown great maturity and consistency.

 

In the absence of Hero MotoCorp Sponsored Bengaluru golfer Sharmila Nicollet, veteran Smriti Mehra and Neha Tripathi,Vani is a clear favourite. This is also a great opportunity for the other young girls like Saaniya Sharma, Ankita Tiwana, Pallavi Jain and Shweta Galande to prove their mettle as they will all aim for a top three finish.
