Tiger Woods’ India Food Journey

Tiger Woods' India trip topped off with some cuisine of the kings

2079

Feb 04, 2014. His plate is always full. Sponsor commitments, travel and flight plans, visits for golf clinics and more. But tonight it’s full with some special cuisines of India, a feast only fit for Royalty. Tonight the Tiger is feeling like a King. The five star hotel in New Delhi, the national capital of India where Tiger is occupying the Presidential Suite has uncorked all special talent to offer Tiger Woods the very best of Awadhi food. Biryanis or pilaf rolled in spices and meat, curries in fish and mutton along with kebabs are all on his menu. Even as some lighter western fare is available should he want, Tiger apparently has expressed desire to try out the must-eat dishes known from India to get an authentic flavour. From spices laden specialties to saffron rolled desserts, Tiger is keeping some rich company this evening. Perhaps in keeping with his company as he met the Delhi glitterati. As he heads to Sochi to join his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn for the Olympics, he takes with him souvenirs, some spice, friendship of some rich industrialists and a pocket money of 15 crore rupees (2.5 million dollars).

On the 3rd though he stuck to grills the night before tee-off. Just a hamburger and a kebab platter from the world renowned Bukhara at the Sheraton in the national capital. This layered him up to take on the cold morning at a narrow and challenging Lodhi Course at the Delhi Golf Club.
