December 9, 2013.The only Ladies European Tour (LET) event held annually in India— the Hero Women’s Indian Open — will be held from November 28 to 30 in 2014, the same dates as this year.
The $300,000 event , which is co-sanctioned with the Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) and Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI) will be the penultimate tournament on the LET calendar before the Dubai Ladies Masters, announced LET CEO Ivan Khodabakhsh.
The Tour, which tees off on January 31 in New Zealand, will feature 22 events in all with the Ladies European Masters (500,000 euros) in England and Lalla Meryem Cup (450,000 euros) in Morocco carrying an increased prize fund.
“I am delighted to present today a full and flowing schedule which will give the LET members the best opportunity to display their skills and talents on the international stage. By working closely with fellow Tours, Federations, venues and sponsors, we have been able to ensure that the players’ schedules will not conflict for the good of women’s golf and the fans will be able to watch the players compete at some of the best international venues,” Khodabakhsh said on the LET website.
