Arjun Prasad in tied 11th at Final Stage of AT Q School

Nine Indians make halfway cut at Final Stage of Asian Tour Q School, Amateur Arjun Prasad in tied 11th, Sujjan Singh & Abhijit Singh Chadha are tied 17th.

Jan 12, 2017: Seventeen-year-old amateur Arjun Prasad followed up his opening round of 66 with a five-under-67 in round two of the Asian Tour Qualifying School’s Final Stage to hold on to his overnight tied 11th place.

Prasad, the highest-placed Indian after two rounds, was four shots off the lead at 11-under-133.

Sujjan Singh made a move on day two with a 66 that pushed him up 31 places to tied 17th at 10-under-134.

Abhijit Singh Chadha shot a second straight 67 to also lie tied 17th.

The cut went at four-under-140 with nine Indians making it through to the last two rounds.

The other Indians who made the cut were Manu Gandas who was tied 48th at six-under-138, and Udayan Mane, M Dharma, Aman Raj, Ashok Kumar and Ajeetesh Sandhu who were all tied 66th at five-under-139.

Among those who missed the cut were Khalin Joshi (three-under-141), Gaurav Pratap Singh (three-under-141), C Muniyappa (two-under-142), Honey Baisoya (one-under-143), Veer Ahlawat (one-under-143) and Deepinder Singh Kullar (seven-over-151).

The top 35 players and ties will earn their Tour cards after four rounds.
