Bob Thukral, golfingindianMay 30, 2014. Well Scotland continues to amaze me each day. An one hours drive took us to the picturesque town of Dornoch. The morning chill in the air was enough to wake us all up. And off we went on one of the worlds highest ranked courses. And royal dornoch didn’t disappoint. As a matter of fact this course is everything it’s chalked up to. If trump was beautiful, dornoch was a stunner. At each turn the view got better. Expansive vistas of the North Sea, the sound of the lapping ocean and most importantly no rain. We played 36 holes today, walking about 13 miles. A bit tiring but what an unforgettable experience. My caddie Rudy was fantastic and gave me great advice. The clubhouse had interesting information on local Scotsmen who had immigrated to America and helped popularize the sport in their adopted land. The evening ended with some decent Indian grub in Inverness and topped off with two local whiskers I had never heard off, tomatin and edradour. Tomorrow castlestuart awaits us. I believe this us where jeev Milkha Singh won the Scottish open two years ago.

Tip of the day: if ure planning a golf trip to Scotland make sure to include dornoch on your agenda. You won’t be disappointed.
