30th May, 2014. Shubhankar Sharma made a successful comeback this morning when he completed his second round with four over par, 76. His round had been initially disrupted by terrible weather conditions causing a loss of three hours of play. However that did not stop Sharma .

 

The day has also been a memorable one for Charles Hong of Philippine and compatriots Albin Engino and Robert Pactolerin when they closed at a 67. Miguel Tabuena who is claimed to be one of the forthcoming stars of Asian Tour also made an impact by improving his scores by three shots with a 68.Tabuena had a tie with Pavit Tangkamolprasert, who had won the ADT once.

 

For Charles Hong, it had been surely a measured game plan that made him procure a name in the top of the leaderboard. The first round was a tad disappointing with a 71 score but he strategically the challenging yards par 71 course before closing it at a four under par 138 that was his total of two days. Hong carded birdies on the 10th, 16th and 17th hole. He was heard telling Asian Tour ,’’ “I was very careful today and told myself not to make any more bogeys after dropping four shots yesterday. I’m really happy to have stayed bogey-free today,”

 

The delays in the game actually worked to the advantage of the players. Miguel Tabuena claimed ,’’ “It was a good wait. Actually, I was glad the sirens went off as it gave me time to think about my game especially after I had bogeyed the second hole. It worked out well in the end and I’m looking forward to the next two rounds.” Till the end the leaderboard enlisted the scores with shubhankar Sharma leading and Albin Engino, Michael Bibat, Reynaldo Pagunsan and Grant Jackson following.
