April 10, 2014: Rory McIlroy wanted to make sure his fiancée Caroline Wozniacki was color-coordinated for this year’s Masters.

The former No. 1-ranked golfer helped dye the former top-ranked tennis player’s hair hot pink, matching the famous flowers blooming at Augusta National Golf Club. His handiwork could be seen on his fingernails, which had a tinge of pink around them.

“I just wanted it to match the azaleas,” he said after finishing play in the Par-3 Contest, in which Wozniacki was his caddie.

Wozniacki got a high-five, hug and kiss on the No. 9 green after she sank a 30-foot putt to finish out McIlroy’s round.

“I take credit for that putt,” Wozniacki said. “He told me, ‘Putt it somewhere around here,’ ” and lined up the putt, which drew roars from the crowd.

“She’s good at following instructions,” McIlroy said.

Wozniacki said jokingly that she had her own pointers for his golf game, including not to leave his putts short.

“It’s such a nice tournament, the Masters. To be out here at the Par-3 Course with Rory, I’m happy he took me. I was glad to be his caddie again,” she said.

Paulina Gretzky, the daughter of former hockey great Wayne Gretzky who is engaged to golfer Dustin Johnson, was among other famous faces spotted on the Par-3 Course. Gretzky modeled for the cover of Golf Digest’s May fitness issue.

Gretzky greeted Johnson, who was paired with McIlroy, at the end of the Par-3 Contest wearing black fitness pants and a black vest over a T-shirt. She did not carry his clubs during the event so his nephews could have a chance to participate, Johnson said.

Former Miss Idaho Melissa Jones, the wife of Australian golfer Matt Jones, also lent a hand Wednesday. The Joneses arrived in Augusta after his Sunday win at the Houston Open.

“I thought the course was beautiful, actually a little bit more difficult than I thought it was going to be,” she said. “It was just fun to be out. The weather’s gorgeous.”
