GOLF AWARDS: Haryana CM plays golf!

November 6, 2013. Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda may attend many a ceremony a day but he is not going to forget some memorable moments from the INDIA GOLF AWARDS. Mr Hooda was put through a short putting lesson and his ball went straight into the cup much to the excitement of the audience who applauded profusely. Mr Hooda had a brilliant line of sight and was pleased to find that putters are such a great piece of equipment.

 

Although he is known to visit golf courses, Mr Hooda is yet to take up golf serious. But his state of Haryana has grasped the game in a big way as the state is trying to promote building of more courses and promote the sport. There are several new initiatives for junior golf, promoting more academies for the sport. “We as a state believe in supporting sports and I am pleased that Haryana has become a hub for golf. It’s a game for both the mind and the body and helps in being a real stress buster.”

 

Mr Hooda gave away some of the key awards of the evening.
