May 8, 2014: Gurbani Singh could  regain her day one form to clinch victory at the Usha Northern India Ladies & Junior Golf Championship. Gurbani’s victory came through two birdies and just one bogey to finish with a total score of 218.

 

Round two leader  Ridhima Dilawari  finished  two shots behind with a total score of  220, as runners up in the event.

 

Gurbani was the only one to card a sub-par round on the day, one under 71. Gurbani lived up to her current status of Order of Merit leader list in the IGU Ladies Amateur Golf Tour.

 

Astha Madan who ended with a final score of 226, was in the third position. Aditi Ashok, Vidushi Sinha and Sifat Alag shared a joint fourth position with a total score of 227.

 

Other notable names in the top 10 included Tvesa Malik (228), Amandeep Drall and Gaurika Bishnoi (231), who finished at 5th and a joint 6th position respectably. This was the first tournament of the Usha Ladies & Junior Golf Open Championship played over 54 holes, over three days, in stroke pay format.
