4th June,2014. Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand continues to climb the World rankings ladder by reaching the newest high rank of the 37th position in Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). He reached this rank after his grand success at the Nordea Masters.

On Sunday, Jaidee won the challenging tournament against Victor Dubuisson of France and Stephen Gallacher, signing off with a 16 under par 272. Even though the last few holes had made him nervous, the 44 year old still managed to clinch the deal at the end of the day. “”The golf course is wide open, you have to hit good golf shots and the weather helped a little bit,” he told The Associate Press. In March, this year in Malaysia Jaidee led Team Asia to a draw with Team Europe at the grand EurAsia Cup. The Thai’s skills of battling it out on the field was manifested when the winner of 13 Asian Tour titles won on European Tour for the second time in his resplendent career.

“It’s simply amazing to know that I’ve won in Europe again. This win is dedicated to my family, all the Thai people and everyone who has supported me. It is a special week for me, to win a trophy outside of Asia for the second time. I’ll keep performing better,” Jaidee told European Tour. Jaidee has recently been voted as the Tour’s Player of the decade by his peers. He is the only player to have won the Asian Tour Order of Merit Crown for the third time.

His entry to the US Open is for the fourth time. Korea’s K. J Choi is in the 85th position and Kiradech Alphibanrat of Thailand is in the 87th position in the World rankings following Jaidee and Lahiri from Asia.
