June 13, 2015: Jeev Milkha Singh remained steadfast in his quest for a high finish at the Lyoness Open with an even 72 in the third round. The Indian golfer shot two birdies on the return stretch to end day three at T33 at 2-under 214 through 54 holes. The lead was still on the bag of Gregory Bourdy, but the margin was down to one, through the 15th hole on Saturday.

After making par at the first six holes, Singh slipped for the first time on the day when flew off course at the par-4 seventh hole.

A double bogey there saw Jeev slip back to even par overall, with his two shot buffer wiped away the advantage he held over the course at the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg.

Singh though refused to be cowed down by the setback, continuing to play well through the remainder of the round.

He shot a birdie at the par-4 12th hole to return under par and cushioned his score back to where he started the day, when he added a second birdie at the 15th hole.

Rafa Cabrera-Bello leapt into the chase on Saturday – he scored two birdies and an eagle in the first four holes to set the tone for an assault on the runaway leader.

Bourdy has been leading from the first round and his comfortable lead was reduced to just one shot when the Frenchman made a bogey at the par-5 15th hole.

Meanwhile, the Spaniard was having his own share of problems on the second nine. After shooting through the front nine in just 31 shots, Rafa made bogeys at 11 & 14 but he recovered without too much damage by making three birdies in a four hole stretch through the 16th hole.

But Indian fans will have their eyes pinned on Jeev to see how he does on Sunday to try and see if he can get inside the top 20 when the tournament ends.
