Rahil Gangjee leads C’garh Players

Rahil Gangjee is leading the PGTI Players Championship in Chandigarh once again with a stellar eleven under, that puts him safely ahead of the next best player Akshay Sharma by three strokes. Gangjee surge came through with a birdie binge in the last three holes 16,17 and 18th respectively.

Local boy Sharma who was the leader at half way mark continued his solid performance but couldn’t convert birdies in the back nine except for one on 11th. With an even par round today, Sharma stands at eight under and is in second position.

Another birdie blitzkrieg worth mentioning is that of Md Zamal Hossain Mollah who had a late resurgence with four back to back birdies between 15th and 18th. At 67 this has been a superb round for the Bangladesh golfer.

Chiragh Kumar who had a hole in one yesterday was among the top three for most part of the round today but two bogies in the back nine set him back. He is now tied fourth with Abhijit Singh Chadha.
