Thongchai enjoyed a flying start to his 2013 campaign with three successive top-10s in South Africa and the Middle East earlier this year and continued to show why he is rated among the world’s best players with his standout performance was at the Volvo World Match Play championship in May.

He has also enjoyed three top-10s in six starts on the Asian Tour which is celebrating its 10th season in 2013.

Thongchai will face a stellar field that includes Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn, Italy’s Matteo Manassero as well as Scotland’s Paul Lawrie and Richie Ramsay who will be returning to defend his title.

The Omega European Masters is the only tournament on European soil to be jointly sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour since 2009.
