January 24, 2014:Top amateur golfers of the country will be contending in the 34th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter-Unit Golf Championship being held in Bangalore.
“GAIL has been taking a number of initiatives to promote sports within the organization and at the same time, supporting and promoting sports and players outside the organization as well. Participating in PSPB tournaments is one such important platform” RD Goyal, Director, GAIL India said.
Country’s top amateur golfers Udayan Mane, Manu Gandas, Saquib Ahmed, Trishul Chinnappa, Samarth Dwivedi, Simarjeet Singh, Ankur Chadha and Manav Das will be seen in action during the tournament.
The contesting field also include India’s No. 1 lady golfer Gurbani Singh and coutry’s No. 1 junior golfer Viraj Madappa and Piyush Sangwan.
The championship, which is being hosted by GAIL (India) Limited, was formally inaugurated on Thursday.
