Rahil Gangjee will look to build on his recent form at the Black Mountain Golf Club this week

March 08, 2016: There is plenty to watch out for Indian fans this week. A host of our stars are in Thailand this week for the True Thailand Classic at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin. Rashid Khan, Chiragh Kumar, Arjun Atwal, SSP Chawrasia, Himmat Rai, Rahil Gangjee, Shiv Kapur, Gaganjeet Bhullar and Jeev Milkha Singh are among a large contingent of Indians on the entry list for this US$1,750,000 Asian Tour event.

Needless to say they will all be charged to perform well this week as they prepare for the marquee Hero Indian Open in New Delhi next week.

SSP Chawrasia and Rahil Gangjee have shown some good form in recent weeks, but they will hope for a little more consistency to ensure that the low rounds can really count on Sunday.

Jeev has been working hard to regain his past rhythm but it has been a real struggle for him to bring his game together across four rounds. He has definitely seen a few glimpses of his old self along the way but he will need to keep it together over 72 holes to try and build some confidence before his flight to India.

Himmat Rai has been a revelation in recent months and another good week in Thailand will help him arrive in New Delhi as a dark horse to reckon with.

S Chikkarangappa and Shubhankar Sharma are also on the card this week, but they are on the reserve list and will need a bit of luck to make the main draw on Thursday.

Khalin Joshi will look to impress and underline his promise as a golfer for the future. Chiragh Kumar is another young golfer who could work his way into the middle tier of the leaderboard.

Aussie Andrew Dodt is the defending champion, having won the event in its inaugural edition last year. Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Prayad Marksaeng will hold the flag up for home fans, who will hope that one of their own can win this week.
