Vaishavi looks for an encore at RCGC

Kolkata, 27th January: Starting the season with a victory last week, Noida’s Vaishavi Sinha will be eager to continue with her good run in the 3rd leg of the Hero Women’s professional golf tour which gets underway at the historic Royal Calcutta Golf Club in Kolkata from Tuesday onwards. The INR 5,00,000 event will be played from the 28th – 30th of January 2015.

In her last outing at the Kalhaar Blues and Greens, Vaishavi had a slow start but some emphatic play on the last day saw her completing a very convincing victory while the current Hero Order Of Merit leader Vani Kapoor had a forgettable second leg. Vani who has been known as the queen of comebacks will be eager to make amends for her earlier errors and make astrong statement in the upcoming 3rd leg.

The third leg also marks a comeback of Hero Motor Corp sponsored Sharmila Nicollet, who will play her first leg this season. The Bengaluru golfer who missed out on her LET full card this year has been training really hard and is expected to showcase some solid golf in the event.

Chandigarh’s Amandeep Drall impressed one and all with her gritty play in her rookie season finishing as the runners up in the 2nd leg. She will look forward to keep the momentum going in the 3rd leg as well and hope to return with some formidable results.Veteran Golfer Smriti Mehra too has had a decent start this season and is expected to perform well at her home course.
