Lahiri gets married in traditional ceremony to long time girlfriend Ipsa Jamwal

May 30,2014. Anirban Lahiri got married to his fiancé and long time girlfriend Ipsa Jamwal. The wedding ceremony took place in Pune with close friends, family and plenty of golfers attending. Rashid Khan from Delhi confirmed his presence, “I am headed there,” in a chat with golfingindian.com. Shiv Kapur, another dear friend of Lahiri’s is playing the Nordea Masters didn’t make it back to India for the same. It’s was not clear whether their common manager Neeraj Sareen got back in time to mark his attendance at Lahiri’s wedding.

 

Rahil Gangjee, who was very excited about his buddy getting married shared with golfingindian.com that he was unable to travel to Pune for his wedding. “I’m really feeling bad about this, but as my buddy gets married I would wish him all the happiness.” As a married man himself, Gangjee also quipped a piece of advise for his fellow golfer, “I  advise him to be understanding and loving no matter what!”

 

For Lahiri – all of 26 – this is a new phase and his to be wife plans to accompany him on tour as he plays across the Asian Tour events or travels to Europe. Queen’s Cup and Asian Tour next week would be looking forward to welcoming Lahiri’s better half. “I’ll be getting married and it is the beginning of my new life. I think it is really an exciting time for me. It helps when your personal life is going well. It puts your mind at ease and it allows you to play your best,” Lahiri shares.

Lahiri returned from the action on the Asian Tour first into Bangalore where he is based to collect all his wedding preparations, his outfit and all that he made need before he made his way into Pune, the hometown of young Jamwal, who worked with tech firm Wipro.
