May 18, 2014: Marcus Both of Australia gave a perfect finish to his ICTSI Philippine Open campaign with a victory in the final round. Both’s four rounds (70,66,76,70) total of 282 gave him two shot edge over the five rivals who shared second position. This is the third career win for the Aussie Both.
Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh, Nathan Holman of Australia, Arnold Vongvanij of Thailand and home lads Antonio Lascuna and Jay Bayron totaled 284 to share runners up position at Asia’s oldest national championship, the Philippine Open.
India’s SSP Chowrasia returned as best placed Indian in the US$300,000 event with a tied 10 finish on Sunday. He shot a 69 in the final round to total his four round (71,71,76,69) with 287, five shots behind the leader.
Anirban Lahiri (75,79,76,70) and Abhijit Chadha (75,72, 71,72) ended their Manila trip tied 22nd after scoring 290 in four rounds.
