June 5, 2014. The Lyoness Open kicks off to a huge start at Diamond Country Club of Aztenbrugg with our very own Gaganjeet Bhullar from India contesting with several others. Legendary Jeev Milkha Singh, SSP Chaurasia are the other Indian players to watch out for in the tournament. Singh recently played in the Nordea Masters and this tournament will give him a good opportunity to improve his scores.

Gaganjeet also might look towards this tournament to improve his game especially after the BMW PGA Championship where he failed to make the cut. For SSP Chowrasia it has been quite some time since the last tournament he played was at Laguna National in May where he won some money with a 4 under par 274. It will also be interesting to see the players team up.  Singh will be playing with Romain Wattel and David Horsey.

The other players to be watched out for are primarly the likes of Bernd Wiesberger who is defending the title. In 2012, he had won the title while last year he finished it tied in the 14th position. He has been a fantastic player right from 2011 with hitting all pars or better in the last 12 rounds of the course. Anders Hansen, Miguel Angel Jimenez , Gary Stal and Joost Luiten are the other players who will be making this tournament an interesting watch. Gary Stal made an impressive show in the BMW PGA championship where he was tied at the 38th. Luiten is looking forward to this event hoping to emerge victorious, making it a record-breaking win back-to-back.

The Diamond Country Club that is hosting the Lyoness Open this year is a sprawling par 72 course with lot of water area coming into play around 9 holes making the whole game even more challenging. It is definitely one of the big reasons that will make this game a very gripping and scintillating one.
