May3, 2014: India’s Rahil Gangjee  is still standing tall on 7th spot after he signed off with one under 71 card on Saturday at The Championship, which is currently underway at the Laguna National Golf and Country Club in Singapore. Currently, the tournament is led by 21-year-old Pittayarat Panuphol of Thailand  and Anders Hansen of Denmark who have three round total of 200 as they enter final day of the tournament.

 

The recent Indonesian Masters winner, Anirban Lahiri carded four under 68 to retain his first round domination. However, Lahiri’s three round total (67,70,68) 205, may not put him in close reach of the Laguna title as he enters final round on Sunday.

 

Among other Indians Playing the weekend in Singapore, none did better than last round. SSP Chowrasia carded a 71 to total (68,68,71)207 at the end of three rounds. While, Jeev Milkha Singh, who kicked off well at the beginning of the tournament, had mellowed in the third round with 74 to take his three round score (67,72,74) to 213. Youngster Chirag Kumar (69,70,72) added up to 211 in three rounds.

 

Rahil Gangjee  has retained his best place among Indians to take his total score(66,67,71) to 204 at the end of three rounds.   A double bogey on third hole and  one bogey on 14th blocked his steady progress in third round where he made only four birdies. However, four shots  difference with the Club house leaders,  Pittayarat Panuphol and Anders Hansen, will keeps his hopes alive as he enters final round on Sunday.
